I just caught up with the latest On the Edge of the Devil's Backbone chapter and I just wanted to say how much I'm loving the story. Excellent writing as usual.
Thank you, I’m glad you’re enjoying the story!

Out of curiosity, is the title for Backbone from the song "Devil's Backbone" by The Civil Wars?
Yes.
Which leads to some confusion from the people who live near the Devil’s Backbone, which is apparently a reasonably well-known hiking trail.
ineasako22 replied to your post “So I see you've delved into Clone Wars and run into the same problem I...”
Yeah, I started watching Clone Wars because it was a Star Wars thing and I was bored. And two weeks later... I had no idea how much of my life would be consumed. Which clone (or clones) is your favorite?
Okay, sorry, i somehow missed this in the flood, but--
ALL OF THEM
seriously all of them, do not make me choose
i mean yes, rex and cody, they’re easy to love because we see SO MUCH OF THEM
but also domino squad and kix and jesse and hardcase, ninety-nine, tup, dogma, waxer, boil, wolffe and his pack
every clone that is mentioned for a moment, named only to immediately die or vanish, never to be seen again--Wooley and Redeye and Mixer and Buzz, Ahsoka’s squadron, etc
every clone that is never named, never given distinctive armor
every clone that lies dead on the ground, part of the scenery for this latest battle
every clone animated so that they can fire off a few shots before getting hit and dying
every
goddamn
clone
So I see you've delved into Clone Wars and run into the same problem I did when I found the series. THE CLONES GRAB YOUR HEART AND NEVER LET GO. And now you've adopted 3 billion sons.
Oh, I delved into Clone Wars about four years ago--I’m just rewatching the whole series at the mo and liveblogging for general amusement. I WAS ALREADY DEEP IN CLONE HELL. SO DEEP. SO MANY SONS. SOOO MAAAANNNNYYYY.
Is the "no one wants to hear you sing about tragedy" tag new? Or do you just not use it too often?
It’s not new, but I don’t use it terribly often -- it’s the Skywalker family tag.

So I have an idea for a Star Wars AU fanfic where Anakin gets trapped in a stasis pod mid CW, and wakes up 10 yrs after the OT. The reason I'm telling you is cause the initial premise is close to Wake the Storm, and I didn't want to step on any toes.
(Part 2) the story does go in a drastically different direction from Wake the Storm after that, but I figured it'd be polite to ask. (Of course I actually have to manage to post the thing, but I didn't want complications for being too similar.)
No toes! There are ton of time travel and stasis pod stories out there (including three in the EU that I know off the top of my head), and Wake’s far from the first time travel story in the fandom.
so I had a thought while rewatching Strange Magic: Where are humans in all of this? What if the movie takes place in a world where all that's left of humans is their music? So it'd be Bog just listening to classic rock stuff since he was a little Bog.
I know that originally there was gonna be a scene at the start of the movie that showed the room of a live action human little girl, with a butterfly in the background, and we would zoom in on it until we realized, Oh, not a butterfly at all, a Fairy. So there was gonna be a human presence in the movie until they decided it would district from the story too much.
I really like your theory! Humanity is gone but music has survived, and now goblins and fairies and other far creatures have taken over =)
In regards to the review on your Bail/Breha fic. I always figured that the Organas had a child when they adopted Leia because the statement in the movie is "my wife always wanted a girl." So there's no need for sex at all because they adopted, and also none of this "they couldn't have kids" business because they had a kid, Leia.
Yeah, same. But almost every fic I’ve ever seen, whether about Breha and Bail or about Beru and Owen, seems to just assume that those couples must have been infertile? IDK why honestly.
There are plenty of people who prefer to adopt. That’s no less valid, and it doesn’t have to be a bucket full of angst.
