#BBCDECADE: âLONG LIVE THAT BBC ICECREAM"
2013 has been such a big year for Pharrell, not only with his music career and creative collaborations, but also with clothing brand Billionaire Boys Club (BBC) and Ice Cream. Celebrating a decade, Pharrell and A Bathing Ape founder Nigo have managed to birth a small clothing brand in Japan with just the influence from Pharrellâs taste in music and fashion. Thereâs no surprise that these brands have had a lasting influence on youth culture and street wear and the members only skateboard world. Pharrell is hugely thankful for all his fans for supporting the brands and is forever aiming to inspire everyone around him. "When the stars are aligned and you seize the moment, there's nothing you can't do. And if the stars aren't aligned you reach up there and put them all together and make them do what you need them to do."
In an interview, Pharrell shares his thoughts from just after the birth of BBC. âPeople who belong in this club are the people who are like minded, who know that education is one of the greatest gifts to life, and learning things and continuing to discover and explore is one of the greatest experiences we can ever have as humans. So, itâs anyone who believes that, and lives their life to the fullest. It doesn't mean you have to go on a safari to Africa or a journey to the moon, it just means that you have to have the willingness to do what makes you happy and to continue explore and enjoy the present.â
IITS commends the nature of learning while you live. So it's always refreshing to know that icons still inject this ethic into what they love doing and creating brands for the community. So, LONG LIVE THAT BBC ICECREAM! #BBCDECADE
