A harsh post but this is true. Nabbing and prosecuting cat poachers. On a tip, VSPCA was able to apprehend a group of nomadic cat poachers in time, carrying cats in sacks & bags, to sell as “meat” in restaurants serving unsuspecting clients. This is a horrible practice that’s picked up. We feel for the poor and often offer them jobs at our shelter and farm. There are jobs that don’t exploit the innocent. Humans domesticated cats. Its time to learn some #FridayFacts about the #MalabarGiantSquirrel: 1. The Indian giant squirrel, or Malabar giant squirrel, (Ratufa indica) is a large tree squirrel species endemic to the forests of Peninsular India. 2. It is a diurnal and arboreal species. It is an upper-canopy dweller, which rarely leaves the trees and travels from tree to tree with jumps of up to 6 m (20 ft). 3. The Giant Squirrel is mostly active in the early hours of the morning and in the evening, resting in the midday. They are typically solitary animals that only come together for breeding. 4. When in danger, the Ratufa indica often  freezes or flattens itself against the tree trunk, instead of fleeing.

The Asian Green Bee Eater, locally known as the Bahira popat, is a widely found bird inhabiting woodlands. They can be found across the Indian Subcontinent, into southeast Asia from central China and even in Africa. As the name suggests they feed on honey bees and other flying insects. . . .
