Wanda: I’ve changed all of my passwords to “incorrect”.
Peter: Uh, why..?
Wanda: So, if I forget, I’ll get reminded that ‘your password is incorrect’.
Peter: That has got to be the most genius piece of idiocy I have ever heard.
boys are fuckin cute ok
@incorrect-password
I changed my password to "incorrect" so whenever I forget it the computer will say, "Your password is incorrect."
What’s so funny about this? Don’t you hate passwords? I do. What about usernames and all those crazy upper and lowercase letters, numbers and symbols? Years ago, it made sense. We wanted to protect our privacy but didn’t think about it too much, so we tended to use the same password for everything, and it usually involved a birthdate, address or something like that. But it quickly became apparent that this was very easy to crack and hack. So they decided that passwords should become more complex and more complicated and changed yearly, then seasonally then monthly weekly and who knows, daily even. And you shouldn’t use the same password for all your sites, either. They should all be different. I once had a small 5” x 8” piece of paper with a few passwords on it, then a little note pad. Now I have a telephone address book which I keep next to my computer. The pages in the directory are getting messy from all the cross-outs and changes. It’s CRAZY! But the guy in the joke had the right idea - one password for everything, namely, “incorrect”, which you never need to worry about forgetting because if you do your computer will automatically remind you by telling you what you’ve typed in is “incorrect.” At that point you can simply say, “Oh yeah, that was it!” You have conferred special status to the word, by making the meaning ambiguous and forcing your brain to adjust it’s understanding of the word. It’s kind of like a “WHO’s on first” situation. It’s an adjective and a stand-alone password at the same time. And THAT’s what’s so clever AND funny!
This joke was sent to me by Mr. Mikey Bennett from the cheesy state of Wisconsin.

SUPERSTAR?
Some one just asked me the other day if I wanted to be a Superstar? “If you don’t want to be famous, why do you write blogs?”
I just wonder if all the people who write blogs want to be superstars. It is a very good question! It makes me review and check through the motives that I have in putting up a blog. I again ask myself the question once through. Indeed, why on earth did I start writing my…
