YES 100%!!!! honestly, ever since I was a child I've been dreaming of living in a big house full of cats, I would be so, so happy!!!! I also really want to maybe foster cats one day but I feel like I would be very bad and have lots of foster fails bc I'd fall in love with all of them.

Before I got my current cat Apollo, I was so convinced that this time I would get 2 cats, and looked at all the cat pairs and siblings at the shelter website, but I somehow seem to always get the loner cats who love being only children (probably because Apollo as well as my previous cat Ella both found their way into my life by just appearing at my parents house, going inside and refusing to leave because they were done with the outside cat life in a neighborhood with lots of cats and wanted to be treated as the princesses they are/were!!)

I give my great big box of candy hearts a shake...

25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?

Oh god that is so hard, I honestly don't remember what my first impression was, I don't even remember when I first read PoA? I think I must've been something around 8-10 years old when I read it? I remember referring to him as "Lupin" bc that's how Harry refers to him in the books most of the time I think? And it was this really funnny switch when I started engaging with fan works and suddenly he was no longer Lupin in my head, he was Remus. I have always been obsessed with the marauders, and PoA was my fave book bc I loved learning more about them and bc I have always loved Sirius so much, and thought Remus was the coolest DADA teacher the golden trio had, but other than that I didn't really pay that much attention to him, I thought Remadora was a bit weird and out of nowhere but also an obvious parallel to the rushed war-time romance that Jily had, only that Teddy then got to grow up in a more loving family, as another sort-of parallel to Harry. I was DEVASTATED when Remus died.

and now? Do you want a 50.000 word essay on how much I love RJ Lupin?! Idk I think my current perception of him has been shaped by pre-2014 fan works, because I discovered wolfstar in 2014 and binge read so many older fics back then, and I will also always have a soft spot for like 2014/2015 fanon Remus, which may be part of why I'm sometimes struggling to connect to current fanon Remus, because I had a few non-fandom years in between and when I came back he was suddenly not this awkward, bookish, shy, weird hipster dude but like the hot alpha werewolf gryffindor casanova and I don't enjoy that version as much, I love damp, pathetic, loveable RJ Lupo so much more <3

ohhh this was so much harder than I thought it would be and made me realise I don't watch a lot of movies? But I did watch a few over christmas, so this is more like just the last 5 movies I've seen than a top 5 but here we go:

When Harry Met Sally (friends to lovers slowburn FAVE yes it's very of its time but ughhh I love it, and Meg Ryan in that film is 😍)

The first Downton Abbey movie (idk if it has a name?). I don't love the movie as much as the series (haven't even seen the 2nd movie yet) but still... Downton Abbey is a comfort show for me and the movie is v comforting too.

The Holiday (one of the few christmassy films i actually own on DVD and I love the 2000s nostalgia vibes)

remus lupin.

not a jock. not a cool guy. not a good father figure to harry. not a brilliant student who reluctantly helped out his stupid popular himbo friends james and sirius. NOT sirius' fav/best friend. not the best marauder bc he was (arguably) polite to severus or that one time he frowned at his book or wtfe.

remus lupin fanon characterisation pisses me off to no fucking end i have to consciously try to not let that bleed into how i feel about the actual character 😭
