The Child, In Question:
I’m utterly confused on wether it’s a plural thing, or if everyone has this, or it’s just me being hyper aware to it, but does anyone else have assigned personifications for their bodily functions? Like, my heart is the one who does all the emotion regulation stuff and expresses itself in art, while my soul is the one who chooses the music and how we feel to certain experiences, and like.. my moods can be affected by whoever is being the most prominent? Their presence influences my life not too noticeably but I’m still sure that there’s like a certain amount of autonomy to each of my five little inner cogs, ya get me? (I (consciousness, who writes), mind (most the autopilot stuff but also logic), soul (incomprehensible and is it’s own identity. Many in one), heart (emotions and stuff), and the overall body which we also have a ‘voice’ for. Like.. I’m technically a singlet, no? They aren’t their own selves but they do have their own unique ways of going about things and characteristics.. and some can work by themselves while others are in a duo or trio. If I’m in a deep writing session it can be both my heart,soul, and I working on it, or if let’s say I’m just doodling something, it’s my heart and mind acting upon it but the ‘me’ which is the one who relies on awareness just takes a backseat. Similarly how I can just refuse to pilot the body but the mind will take cover. Doing its best, ofcourse. Also how all have their own needs and try voice it the best they can but rely on me or the mind to figure it out (Soul is a bastard by being present in its nature but silent when it comes to being asked anything. Why ya making a fuss out of something if you aren’t even gonna tell us why?!) ah anyway.. Ik how endo systems aren’t fully considered proper for the DID community but I don’t have any trauma that could have caused this and it’s more or less just always been but I only know realise what’s going on. No specific identities but that’s related to how I’m alter human and what not (divinekin, litteral energy in a human form. And similarly how I’m fine with being human but from the perspective of ‘it helps me better feel senses rather than being an omniscient and omnipresent watcher’, that’s how I go about being a single self. I prefer I/Me/My pronouns but still feel like I’m talking for a single section of me, or even going on stage to talk for all the others behind the curtains..).. so like, ya understand?!

You know, just because I get riled up about this usually, I will explain it now.
In canon Yami Marik vanishes/dies at the age of 16. My muse is something around 22 to 27, I usually vary it around a little in my head.
Why did I flip out about that topic the last time?
Because it is usually assumed that upon emergence, Yami Marik is just BORN and that is not how trauma with DID works. There is not just a new entity emerging out of nowhere in your head, the trauma merely causes your mind to split off in a branch and create a completely new, necessary personality to combat whatever trauma you endured.
So upon emergence, Yami Marik TOO is a 10 year old boy (as far as we know), but his part to play in that system is just different from Marik. Usually the struggling mind of trauma like that doesn't also only create one alter ego, there are complete systems of varying numbers of alters in some people, with any gender, mental age, sexuality etc.
You are very able to be a 22 year old human with an alter in your system, who is a child of 5 years or something. Some alters can be selectively mute, even though everybody in the system has no problem with talking whatsoever.
You can't just assume the quality of an alter, I know it was for fun in that post, but I just... don't enjoy how it is handled in the fandom.
Granted, the display of systems isn't shown well in YuGiOh .. but I at least had a relationship partner with a DID system before and it just... rubs me the wrong way ever so often ^^'
I am a bit opinionated on that subject. ^-^
