According to GRRM, the Stark children’s endings are tied to their dire wolves:

Jon Snow/Ghost - died but will live like a ghost through Ghost then later ressurect. Also Ghost being albino amongst the rest of the pack is a nod to his Targaryen roots. Is the crown prince of the Targaryen royal family and by all rights should be the King of the Seven Kingdoms.

Robb/Grey Wind - gone like the wind, forever young. But was the King in the North for a time!

Sansa/Lady - will remain a Lady, more than likely of the Vale where she’s being setup as a political player of sorts while dosing her little cousin Robert with sweetsleep and trying to manoeuvre her way to become Harry the Heir’s partner. Or remain Lady Lannister and go to Casterly Rock with Tyrion in the end since they’re still married. With Lady’s death, she may die early too.

Arya/Nymeria - Will be a Warrior-Queen like her namesake. Ned’s foreshadowed words: “You will marry a King and rule his castle.” She is the key to the Northern plot in ASOIAF, so is much more important than GOT’s weak portrayal. Also after Jon’s death and while Bran and Rickon are presumed dead (and Sansa disinherited by Robb’s will because she is Lady Lannister), she will be the current known heir of Winterfell after she reappears. Also GRRM’s words: “If a twelve year old has to conquer the world, so be it.” so she has a big part to play in the coming wars, with Nymeria as a wolf-Queen and her wolfpack of hundreds. GRRM said Nymeria and her pack is a literal Chekhov’s gun.

Bran/Summer - key to end the Winter and bring the world back to Summer. He is much more important in the books! Because of his wisdom, may become a very important political player one day. He is the true heir of Winterfell.
