While out exploring yesterday I was dismayed to see so much trash on this beautiful stretch of beach. Come on people let protect our environment, dispose of your trash correctly and if you see trash on the beach or hiking trails pick it up. When Scot & I went to the lake over the weekend to clean up for #impactday today we were so discouraged at the amount of trash we found. People were treating the gorgeous park right next to the water like their own personal garbage bin. I went climbing through the overgrown grass picking up empty food containers, bottles, cans & more. This is why I am a #wildkeeper . Because I care about preserving places like Lake Jacomo. The place where Scot & I not only spent countless afternoons when we were dating but also the place he proposed to me, & the location of our engagement pictures. I encourage you, if you eat outside to please please make sure you’re leaving zero trace of you + your lunch behind. If you see trash, pick it up. I can’t think of a day better than #IndigenousPeoplesDay to talk about the importance of keeping nature wild. Last week we headed out to a state park by our house & picked up trash. Preserving the land we are on is something I feel very passionate about. Not only for us to be able to continue to enjoy it but more importantly for the animals who live in it. Throwing a straw wrapper out the window, not picking up all the trash at your campsite, leaving trash in parking lots, it all adds up.
