“They do know that they are supposed to put Roman Candles in the ground and then set them off, right?” Evan questions, pointing towards Tyler. You had flown down from Canada with Evan to Tyler’s house for the 4th of July. Tyler had decided to start setting off fireworks, and of course, he chose the Roman Candles first.

“We Americans don’t read directions, let alone follow them.” you point out to Evan.

“He’s going to blow his fucking hand off or something.”

“Here in America, all people care about is blowing shit up and freedom. Injuries are not prioritized when celebrating freedom is on the line.” you state, earning a laugh from Evan.

“I’m gonna go over there with Tyler, you coming with?” He asks, coming to stand in front of you and cupping your face in his hands.

“Nah, you go have fun. I’m gonna hang back here with Kino. Don’t get yourself hurt, I don’t want to deal with bloody injuries.” Evan rolls his eyes at my statement, kisses your forehead, and turns toward the direction of Tyler.

“Don’t you know that’s why I chose you? Having an RN around comes in handy.”

“Haha, so funny. We all know that’s not the real reason you keep me around. Now go, have fun.” you shove him toward Tyler, causing him to flip me off. Anthony stands next to you, filming Tyler as he sets off another Roman Candle.

“I love how far away Evan is standing from Tyler.” Anthony laughs. You smile at Anthony, knowing that he is only standing that far away to not get hit by the falling embers.

“He’s trying not to get hit by the falling embers. I told him that I don’t want to deal with any injuries.” Anthony nods his head, and turns to film Smi77y and Scotty. Soon enough, Marksman is trying to set a bottle rocket off in his hand. And as expected, his blows up in his hand.

“God damnit! Even when I’m not at the hospital, I still have to deal with injuries!”

“Nah, it’s all good.” Tyler replies. You shake your head, walking up the steps and onto the porch.

“You guys make my anxiety skyrocket.” Evan follows you onto the porch, a look of surprise on his face.
