I was reminded of this great quote from Eleanor Roosevelt by my friend, @martinholsinger. It was a favorite of my dad's. Sort of a recipe for evaluating people. I think it's valuable for this purpose, and yet I think there is also a marketing lesson it as well.  Have you ever COMPLETELY not hit it off with a group of people? In my experience it has a lot to do with being in a different one of these three categories.  It's value as a sorting algorithm is that once you've identified this mismatch, you can make adjustments and reorient your conversation. It's value as a marketing message stems from the same dynamic. You must understand where your audience is. If they have above average education, you will do well to communicate about ideas. If they're average folk, plot driven stories will work. And if they are part of the Walmart crowd, then stories of gossip and personality will be the way to go.   Depending on my level of energy, I can qualify for any of the three categories, but I have to admit to preferring ideas. 👍👊 #imasnob 😜😂😎 What do you think?
