my mom is watching interview with the vampire (cause i forced her lmao) so im naturally rewatching it and yesterday the best thing happened to me (that i didnt notice on my first watch), in this 2x04 episode there's MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE OPERA (autism yippie) playing in the back - beethoven's fidelio, specifically prisoners chorus (o welche lust), i tell yall that i started screaming to my mom "OMG ITS FIDELIO IN THE BACK OMG OMG OMG OMG"
also it's interesting that they used the opera about a wife going undercover as a man to prison, ruled by a tyrant, to save her husband and specifically a scene where prisoners of said prison sing an "ode to freedom" while being temporarily set free, for this show

This is only a little embarrassing but as a child playing this game for the first time after I got to sanctuary and found Hammerlock I would do fuck all except hang out with him. Like I wouldn't even do his quests I literally just stood around him to try and engage conversation. Yes I was dumb...but I was also committed. I know a lot of his idle lines now.
