Condescending doctors piss me tf off. My apologies for not seeking medical help sooner for my chronic health issues. I didn't have fucking health insurance for the past 2yrs because I graduated high school, had to move out of an abusive home, and had my health insurance taken away by my father when he found out that I'm trans, despite knowing the fact that I have a heart condition and chronic illness.
Not all of us are blessed with still being on our parent's health insurance, nor are we blessed with health insurance being offered through our place of work (and even if it is, that doesn't mean we can afford it).
So yeah, my chronic issues are worse. My fatigue is worse, my pain is worse, I've developed seizure-like episodes that we still aren't sure wtf they are till I see a neurologist. I can't afford to go to the ER every time I have a flare-up because I would never survive with the amount of medical debt I'd end up with.
It doesn't fucking help my lack of trust in medical "professionals" when their response to me finally being in a financially stable place to seek medical attention is "well why didn't you get seen sooner?"
Who would have paid those medical bills if I had gone? I'm already 4k in debt from non-negotiable ER visits and a surgery I had to get. Doctors fucking suck.
