and like, ilya's life back home is slipping through his fingers, literally concurrently with inviting shane over to his house, and part of him is crying out that this guy he's so, so fond of could be his new home. but then shane slips through his fingers too and he's left adrift!!! he's trying to help his family out of obligation and he's trying to hold onto what he actually wants but ends up with neither. and he said 'you are homeless?' to shane that one time as a joke but by the end of this episode it's ilya who doesn't have anywhere. he's homeless. ilyaaaa
