TW! MENTAL HEALTH STUFF/SUI MENTION/ MILD FRIEND/FAMILY ISSUES? (unsure)

If you we're interacting often with my blog around the spring-fall of 2024, you may have noticed, a new set of original characters/story come around on my blog known as "I Love My Sister" (Ilms) Chronicles. You can still check it out on the MASTERPOST. Though it might've seen like some subtle, edgy story with only mild venting or something, I actually sort of BELIEVED everything I was writing, specifically in YAHAIRA'S STORY. I was fresh out of trying to escape a toxic relationship with a 19 year old girl who I met at a mental health facility in which despite us both being out of there and most likely never being able to see each other again, would constantly treat me like her little sister and just tell vent to me about disturbing things surrounding her family life or mental state. I also had hard feeling around being an only child and having trouble making friends as I was finishing up middle school and about to start high school and most of my friends are a grade below me.

I'm [un]fortunately a bit too exhausted to remember all the details, but, shit happened, I started to take all of my emotions out on my cousins to the point I contemplated harming one of them, I was turning to Reddit for help, but now I've cut contact with my cousins for both our safeties and got help and just recently graduated from therapy.

Yahaira is still definitely an alternate version of me in a way, same can go for her older sister, Mel, though she also shares traits with my slightly older cousin in being a bit of a troublemaker, but also being physically and mentally strong and a polyglot and stuff.

Yahaira's character was designed a bit more around some of my own insecurities, such as body size, some desires I had such as to get a cool haircut (hence her messy, partially dyed hair) and a bit of genuine charm I had as a kid which were my kindness and creativity.

Due to being in a better mental state, I will be changing the ilms story a little, so YAHAIRA'S STORY is mostly still canon, EXCEPT FOR THE ENDING. For a long time, she's been a self-insert vent/trauma oc, like how my gray child Melody from my story Epic Club was, but now that I'm better, I'd like her to deviate a bit from my memories and have her own unique story to tell. It's still heavily inspired off of childhood trauma, memories and dark thoughts I had, just in a less direct and more fantasy manner.

Hope you guys understand and respect my decision. I know how in some earlier posts I mentioned how Yahaira is supposed to a self insert but now I’m just ready to make her an actual character. I'm also writing this late at night so sorry if this is a bit incomprehensible.

A quick insight to how the story is changed: Instead of Yahaira become me in a dream, her soul instead fuses with a guardian angel causing the illusion of a new life as a new "normal" human in the form of a dream. It isn't until one fateful day the two finally split. The guardian angel convinces Yahaira that her sister is trapped in a house up in Sacramento (well, dream universe Sacramento) and when the two reunite, they'll return to the real world and Mel will be back home. With Yahaira gullible as always, they set foot on a journey supposedly to find her, all to figure out that what the guardian angel promised wasn't exactly what it seemed. Perhaps the guardian angel, while fused into the body of a mortal child got to comfortable being human and to used to feeling pain, sadness, loneliness, vengeance...

P.S. Here a little thing I did so you guys (my mom) can tell my two Melody characters apart besides nicknames! BEHOLD: MIDDLE NAMES!!
