ever since the scenery outside her window had started to move, haley felt like she’d been holding her breath, her face turning a deeper and deeper shade of blue as the bus took on the highway, like she might pass out right there at any given second — ‘cause the longer she sat there paralyzed, the further away she got from tree hill, from nathan, and the more final her rash decision became. you ever meet a mess of a human being? someone who is so deep into their mess that they can't see reality anymore? rachel's been, uh, messy ever since sienna met her in a women's studies class long ago, but everlasting's made her worse. like that one meme, the "i could fix him" "i could make him worse" one? yeah, that one, except everything seems to make rachel worse these days. sienna's reconsidered friendship several times within the past few years, but she's distant enough from all of that reality television mess that the occasional dinner with rachel isn't a burden. then again, rachel is hurting a lot of other people, and that's the part sienna takes issue with, but everyone's gotta do dirty things in this business, right? that's why sienna's chosen to pursue theatre instead. still messy, but less so than television.
