could you name the german stories where loholt has a love interest? I've never heard of those before
Specifically, it's mentioned in Parzival, where Loholt (as Ilinot) fell in love with Queen Florie of Kanedig. The story states posthumously that Ilinot left Camelot very young and was taken in (and reared?) by this Florie to be her knight and lover. Sadly, Ilinot dies in her service and later, Florie died of broken heart:

Ilinot and Florie are mentioned again and are the subject of much grief in Garel von Bluhenden Tal, Der Pleier's adaptation of Daniel, where Florie has a sister named Kloudite, wife of the antagonist King Ekunaver, who inherits her deceased sister's lands and has brief heart-to-heart moment with Guinevere:
