I. AM. SO. EXCITED. the golden compass has got to be one of the greatest books ever, ever written, but i just had no interest in the 2007 movie?? but as a TV SHOW it feels so perfectly scaled like aahhh the beginning at oxford and all of lyra travelling on the boats and the armoured bears!!! pan!!!! serafina pekkala!!!! idk man i got a good feeling (which will stay with me, just a little longer)

and i wonder how they will do it will they like, make golden compass/northern lights as the first part of the series and then move on to subtle knife? or layer them a bit so that will can get woven in earlier.

character i’d like to see in a flower crown: lila or phoebe are the most likely candidates

character i’d like to see have an emotional breakdown: haven’t they all at one point or another? i would like to see olga snap though tbh.

character who refuses to pull over and ask for directions on roadtrips: harold or grandpa.

character who always stubs their toes on the washing machine: grandpa

character who changes their starbucks order ten times: rhonda. she’s so high-maintenance lol

character who shows up late for everything: ...stinky? or grandma because she thinks she’s going to a totally different event and needs to dress appropriately.

character who is the worst kisser: arnie lol.

character who takes 45 minutes showers:  RHONDA!
