Void Person(left) and Voidpergender(right) flags

Void Person - A flag for identifying with the concept of Void people from the r/nosleep story "I'm a Guard Station at a 'Secret' Government Prison. A Few Hours Ago, there was a Major Breach". This could be in a more literal way, such as being an introject(we aren't actually the only system with introjects from this story lol). Or in a metaphorical or thematic sense. Kind of, but not really a species flag.

Hey, first of all I’m kinda surprised there are so many fans of a story on Reddit. I’m all for it though lmao.

“I’m a guard stationed at a secret government prison” is like one of my favorite stories I’ve ever read. I was listening to The Dark Somnium’s narration (for probably the 4th time) while reading along and I couldn’t help create so theories of Hugo possibly being alive.

We never actually see Hugo’s death, all we know is that Kael gave him a nice goodbye, but we don’t actually know what happened. Now I love Kael, but is it possible he maybeeee might have just left Hugo after a few moments/didn’t check if he was truly dead/who knows 👀?

Theory #1

Basically Kael bit Hugo turning him into a vampire. Now you may be thinking “but wouldn’t Kael say something when the battle was over or ask to go back for Hugo?” Well what if didn’t know he did?

Now we know from Kael’s backstory that to turn someone into a vampire you basically need to bite into their neck. In part 3, we see Kael use his fangs on the Gladiator’s shoulder and tear a chunk out so he can also use his bite as a weapon.

But what if Kael meant to use it the other way but accidentally bit Hugo in a way that made him a vampire? In part 2, during their fight, it says that Kael “bit into his neck” not his shoulder, not his arm, but his neck. While that doesn’t necessarily mean anything and I’m not totally sure how that whole vampire thing works, assuming it depends on the type of bite, intentional or not, Kael could have accidentally bit Hugo (since it’s pretty obvious Kael has no idea what he’s able to do).

When we see Kael getting turned into a vampire, he passes out relatively quickly after the bite. While Hugo is human (sort of), he has that weird power that could possibly delay or maybe even prevent him from passing out. In part 3, he does pass out after the battle, and that could just be because of his wounds, but it could also be because he was bitten and the passing out was just delayed (which I know is a bit of a stretch). In part 3, Hugo stated that he generates the same as any ordinary man. If he can’t regenerate fast, how could he already be able to walk by the next time we see Hugo and Kael? Hugo gradually turning into a vampire would also explain how he miraculously stays alive even after being beaten to a pulp earlier in the story. It would also mean that Hugo’s still alive at the end, although obviously badly injured.

Theory #2

So my second theory is pretty straightforward, Hugo’s power just basically saved him.

In part 2, the main character (does he even have a name?) states that Hugo’s ‘holy mission’ was basically to kill everyone including himself.

Hugo says something on the lines of “God won’t let me die until I finish out my holy mission”.

Now I’m pretty sure by the end of the story there’s still people alive so that would mean his ‘holy mission’ wasn’t completed, correct?

Theory #3

So what if Kael bit Hugo when he (Hugo) was about to die?

So similar to my first theory, I’m thinking what if Kael bit Hugo - not by accident though.

I’m pretty sure dude has no freaking idea how his whole vampire shit works so maybe he bit Hugo while he was dying and incapacitated, without knowing if it would work or not? Like bro just woke up a vampire one day (sparing the gruesome details) and I’m pretty sure he hasn’t turned anyone into a vampire since he was turned, so he could have bit Hugo in a last ditch effort (lmfao), thought it didn’t work, and just left him.

These are all the theories and examples I can think of at the moment, so bye ✌️.
