many people knew shion for his audacious attitude, not giving much of a care whenever someone would approach him with the intention of a fight

having been the 9th captain of the black dragons, not many would actually do so, though. like most delinquents, he's merciless, but the smile plastered on his face whenever he beat someone up to a pulp was an image that most would tend to avoid getting to witness

this signature, carefree demeanour will take a sharp turn, however, if a punk decided to come up to you rather than him, catching him off guard as this was a fairly rare occurrence

instead of threatening you, it seemed that the inferior-ranked gang member was interested in simply talking to you. sensing no malicious intents, you had decided to simply keep up with the small talk. surely you weren't hurting anyone by doing so, right?

wrong.

you see, shion isn't the kind of person to share at the best of times. when one has grown up in an environment where you only get what you steal, it's no surprise to keep a sharp eye on whatever they held closest and dearest to them

and you were by far the most valuable person in his life right now. he was not about to get played up by some guy who decided he could simply come over and talk his partner into becoming closer acquaintances

ignoring the words of another member - who had been talking to him about god only knew what - , shion could feel his jaw clench at the sight that was going on just a few metres away from him

the bastard was about to learn of his presence if he kept up the friendly act

not bothering to dismiss himself from the conversation he had been previously holding, he turned his heels towards where you were currently standing, smiling up at the guy in front

his blood was practically boiling as he neared the two of you, swearing on all his might that he would beat the guy up if he even tried to excuse his behaviour

never had shion actually felt this way, he thought to himself as his steps led him in your direction. he wasn't sure what it was, but, by god, was it irritating the hell out of him

and so he reached the two of you, automatically stepping in between so he could get a proper look at the home wrecker. or maybe he was just trying to be friends?

never mind that; his eyes were now level with the other's, staring daggers into them as he eventually spoke up amidst the awkward seconds of silence that had filled the air

"what the hell do you think you're doing here?"

a cocky expression slowly growing on the other delinquent's face, shion could feel his fist start to ball up. he wasn't about to take some smack talk from a guy he had never even seen in his life before

"chill...im just talking to her, buddy. no need to get all defensive and shit right in my face"

buddy?

you could immediately tell that your boyfriend was tensing up at a pace you had never seen before. he was angry, but you couldn't help but find his reaction to you talking to another person rather unexpected and amusing

"i want you ten feet away from her in the next five seconds unless you want to know what kind of buddy you're dealing with here, you hear me?"

as he leaned even further towards the other male, you grabbed hold of the side of his arm in an attempt to perhaps stop him from literally pouncing forwards

the guy knew who he was, and it was clear by the way his hands came up in defence, lifting his eyebrows in a mocking manner as he nodded his head towards you, before taking his leave

noticing shion's riled up state, you turned him round towards you and brought your own hand up to his locks

"was someone a little jealous just now?"

at your voice, he whipped his head down to look at you, averting his eyes from the leaving delinquent. his eyebrows furrowed as a response

"no, why the hell would I be jealous?"

squinting your eyes at him, you gave him a knowing smile

"surely a heavenly king himself isn't getting jealous over some outsider, hm?"
