Ideas Exploration Workshop II
Throughout the workshop, Sharon encouraged us to make use of work we had already created, to continuously grow and push our ideas further. So, I started by pinning the web-blanket I crocheted last week to the wall alongside some photos I took of the bog at home and the walk to college in Limerick.
I began experimenting with a harsh light to create interesting shadows. I think this is a good way to explore line and shape, and I hope to push this further.
I then did some drawings of my bed at home and some folds in a bedsheet, before layering the drawings.
I then experimented with layering the blanket over these drawings.
I hope to push this work further over the coming week. Sharon suggested adding a sense of texture and colour to the drawings by layering some collage over certain areas, so I plan to do this. I also plan to bring the crochet blanket to the photography studio to experiment with it and the projector (like I did with my wire leaves a while ago), and I will continue to layer and photograph the results of these explorations.
