I saw this display at the Iowa City Public Library today in the children's room for pride month, and it made my heart so happy. Iowa City has always been a place that has made me feel loved and included, and it makes me so happy to see this, ESPECIALLY in a children's room. It is important to teach kids that it is 100% okay to be anything else but straight, and to be accepting of others. Also, if kids realize they are LGBTQ+, they will feel less left out and "weird" because of things like this. Representation is so important. So thank you, @icpl-teens (I don't know if there's a tumblr for just the library), for being a shining light of inclusivity. Representation and public libraries are SO important.
