So I just happened to look out my window at ichiban and I saw a Nora cosplayer like what are the odds

*sigh*

I went to a convention with one of my guy friends yesterday and today. We were asked if we were a couple at the escape room place we went to. Our waitress assumed we were a couple at Denny’s and only brought one check, so we had to ask her to redo it as two. I’m pretty sure the guy at the hotel thought we were a couple. We ended up going to the Bass Pro Shop near the venue today, (because we didn’t have any panels to go to before 1:00,) and everyone on staff thought we were romantically involved—like, one lady tried to sell me a vacation package for the two of us, and my friend was applying for the company credit card and the staff guy helping him kept explaining the card’s terms and conditions to ME instead of him—and according to my friend, when I wasn’t looking one of the staff kept winking at him and motioning for him to “get it.”

WE DON’T ACT LIKE A COUPLE. I’ve known him since I was 11. He’s known me since he was 7. He’s like a little brother to me. We act like friends, like bros. “Dude, we did it! *high five*” is not a thing couples often say, right?

Other Things We Did Which People Apparently Interpreted as Signs We Were Romantically Involved: ride in the same vehicle, talk about sports, talk about anime, talk about YouTube, talk about Star Wars, talk about bass fishing, talk about ecology, stand several feet apart, stand close together to play arcade games, work well together as a team, introduce each other as friends, look at the same map, and sit across from each other at the same table. (And yes, folks in a romantic relationship might do some/all of those things, but none of these things should be considered romance-only activities!)
