Doctor’s Notes: Patient runs a small Brahmin farm west of New Vegas. Inadvertently followed missing Brahmin into an unusually radioactive area. Brahmin has since died. Stabilized for now, blood pressure is barely over usual, will keep a close monitor. High levels of radiation from patient, I’m taking precaution and wearing a hazmat suit. Her family, two children under the age of 13 and an adult male, were also checked over for radiation poisoning and heat exhaustion. Both patient and family have a history of extremely good health, with only the youngest, a 5 year old boy, having mild symptoms of breathing problems.

Doctor’s Notes:  Patient stable through the night, energetic and talkative this morning. It is 9:45 AM, exactly 18 hours from when the patient was first brought in. Scheduled doses of Rad-X are being administered, patient too weak to stand alone but responds well to stimulus. I’ve noticed faint discoloration on patient’s right arm, will monitor.

Doctor’s Notes: The weight drop concerns me, but Julie says it’s my hypochondriac find. It is true, Mrs. Martinez has had little to eat during her time with us, anything other than liquid will cause vomiting. Radiation levels are slowly dropping, we may have to move her tent farther into isolation if they do not level soon to protect our other patients. Discoloration is the same as yesterday.

Doctor’s Notes: Drastic weight drop overnight, Julie is now at my level of worry. Mrs. Martinez has a slower reaction to stimuli. Discoloration slightly worse. She still seems to be in good spirits though, joking with the other Followers. Her husband came to visit today, wearing a hazmat suit, and that seemed to give her some strength. Her voice has developed a slight rasp.

Doctor’s Notes: Julie has called in someone to try and diet Mrs. Martinez, which I agree with. We finally got some solid food in her this morning, but as she ate I noticed more discoloration and skin peeling, a new symptom. She is not responding to treatment, I fear she may turn into a Ghoul, but I do not wish to discuss my theory with anyone but Julie.

Doctor’s Notes: 10:30 PM. Yesterday, and today, were hectic and awful. On the night of my last entry, I brought up the possibility of Ghoulification to Julie, who wished to monitor, as a good doctor should. Suddenly, I hear a shout from Mrs. Martinez’s tent and rush over to find her profusely sweating and writhing, pleading for me to check her inner thigh. As I did, I discovered a cherry sized mass on her left thigh, the size of my thumb’s distal phalanx. Julie and I were very disturbed and distressed, as it had not been there, even shown any sign, before this. Rapid tissue mutation is a very bad sign. Emergency surgery was required, and along with the mass of her thigh we made the decision to remove burned skin from her right arm and her right eye, which we found had become severely infected, also rapidly. She woke up a bit ago, distressed about her surgery but happy to be alive. She’s so happy. Stabilized, for now, we turned some purified water into ice chips and she’s gratefully taking to those... I fear for her life.

Doctor’s Notes: 12:14 AM, Mrs. Martinez went into shock and flare-up. Julie and I are preparing for an all day procedure. Julie thinks her heart is finally being affected.
