I want to know some random stuff about Kayahan and Julian because they are my faaaaves

Aw that makes me happy, they are my faves too. <3

1. When Julian was sixteen, he begged bartered for passage off Baile na Carraig with some traders. They taught him how to fly and how to navigate, and provided a good reference when he joined the military.

2. Cuneyt was thirteen when he performed his first assassination. His handler watched from a safe distance and gave him full marks.

3. Both in real life and in-universe, Julian was named after the song “Julian of Norwich”. I want to say that Julian’s mother, Maire, probably learned it from her mother, and so on up the family tree until we get to the ancestors that lived on Earth.

4. Cuneyt is a Persian name meaning “soldier”. If I’m remembering correctly Kayahan was a couple of Turkish names that I smashed together. Suikastci I just pulled out of my head.

5. In order, Julian is fluent in Baile na Carraig’s drifted Gaelic, then BnC’s drifted English, then Spacer English, then Pilasingh, then Raatasingh. (He learned Raatasingh first but was more fully immersed in Pilasingh.)

6. Cuneyt speaks every damn language ever. Just joking-- he’s got all four paski languages (Raatasingh, Pilasingh, Caandisingh, and a smattering of Binasingh), and then Spacer English, Spanish, and Chinese (Mandarin). He’s learning a bit of Welsh now, too.

7. Julian does not know how to swim. It’s never come up. He has been near a large body of water-- when he visited Ireland-- but hasn’t gotten within spitting distance of it because holy shit that’s a lot of water holy shit how do you live with that next to you.

8. Cuneyt grew up in a coastal town on Duniyaa so he learned to swim almost before he could walk.

9. Julian’s favorite color is purple. In previous incarnations (he predates paskiland by a couple of years) he exclusively wore a purple track jacket. Nowadays I put him in a bomber more often, but he still wears purple shirts and sweatshirts pretty regularly.

10. Cuneyt’s favorite color can’t be seen by human eyes. It’s lower on the red spectrum than we can see. He finds it a soothing color.

1. Your first OC ever?

Baby wyrd’s first OC was a little brown dog with golden wings named Elliot. He could only say parts of his name. This was pre-pokemon; I feel like I’d been inspired by Catwings. His wings got dull when he was sad and would shine brightly when he was happy. He flew next to the car on long car trips.

I think I must have been six or seven.

2. Do you have a personal favourite among your OCs?

I’m pretty soft on Julian. He’s been around for a while. I want him to be happy and have a good life, but that’s not really in his cards.

Special mention goes to Raiker, my dumbass shapeshifter, and GM, my little desert mage that I think I mentioned here once several years ago. And I might have deleted the post. All three of those guys got me through my early twenties, which were my toughest, loneliest years.

23. Introduce OC that has changed from your first idea concerning what the character would be like?

Okay so Julian was originally a villain. He was a human with an AI implant, except the AI killed the human (Julian), so it was the AI wandering around in a human body. The AI’s name was Pyrrhus, but he changed his name to Pirra because… it seemed like a good idea.

Then he spent a while kind of floating around doing weird doofy things, still named Pirra and with the same backstory, but now the sidekick to the protagonist.

Then I created the paski headworld, and Pirra joined the team with Beth (now Bea) and Banjaree. It was very Mass Effect-ripoff. Except I changed his name to Trey and gave him fantasy!Dissociative Identity Disorder. Julian was the original human, Pyrrhus was the AI, and Trey was the smushed-together personality of both of them. It was confusing and got very complicated very quickly.

Then I trashed the paski headworld and started over from the ground up. I didn’t want to ditch Trey because I liked him, but I wanted to ditch the DID because it was… a thing. So now he’s a pilot with some sort of hallucinatory thing going on, and is on the antagonists’ team again.

32. Which one of your OCs would be the most suitable horror game protagonist and why?

Shrike. Necromancer blood mage knight. I really think he’d do very well in Bloodbourne. Feel right at home.

36. Do you have OC pairs where the other part belongs to someone else (siblings, lovers, friends etc)?

My pokemon OC, Saxon, is best friends with Han’s pokemon OC, Silas. We like to joke that Silas has a really terrible crush on Saxon. Alas, they are romantically incompatible.

6. Do they consider laws flexible, or immovable?

Depends on whose laws we’re talking about. Dupree obeys the highest authority to the best of his ability, and to him that is (or was considering where we have left off in his game) his homeworld. He’s always strictly followed the laws of his people, but has been slowly learning to prioritize things for himself. That being said, he knows that laws are placed for a reason and should be obeyed or disobeyed with a careful awareness of why he should do so.

16. What makes their stomach turn?

HOO BOY WHERE DO WE BEGIN... Well the fear of knowing he was either bound to be a disappointment to his people, or his new friends on Earth, is a start! (spoiler alert, he disappointed BOTH) And the realization of how easily swayed his emotions had become. Not being an infallible soldier like his sisters has messed with him a lot too. And now that the humans have gotten to him, he worries about the ones he’s closest to. Some of them have rotten luck in our games and he’s more fretful about his tiny friends getting hurt than he lets on.

42. How badly do they want to reach their end goal? 

His initial goal, (to set up the Earth for an easy wipe out) was his first job and it was super important to him! But when it came down to it, he sided with his new buds, and even turned himself in. Right now he’s without a set goal and kind of a wreck.
