This  newcomer  certainly  was  something  else.  Asking  him  to  be  careful  in  the  midst  of  a  chasing  game,  how  amusing.  Perhaps  it  was  spoken  with  a  sarcasm  not  so  easily  picked  up  as  adrenaline  rushes  through  his  veins.  Often  a  risk  taker  than  a  cautious  individual,  his  words  are  only  met  with  a  half-smirk  right  back  to  him.

"  Good  luck  out  there,  Richie,  "  he  teases,  before  vaulting  the  door  &  dashing  off  to  the  near  cipher  machine.

"  Slow  down  ?  Slow  down  ??  "  This  moment  of  interruption,  the  way  Luca  looks  back  at  the  other  as  he  pauses  from  his  fast-paced  walk  down  the  hall  to  find  a  paper  and  pen,  Aesop's  question  is  met  with  an  almost  annoyed  expression  as  he  turns  back  towards  an  office  area.  "  No,  no,  no-  I  have  to  write  it  down  or  I'm  going  to-  ah  hah  !  "  Shuffling  towards  the  desk,  he  finds  a  pen  &  pulls  out  the  drawers  to  find  a  pad  of  paper  to  use.

However,  as  the  tip  of  the  pen  begins  to  scratch  the  paper  with  its  inky  trail,  he  freezes.  Hard  stare  bores  holes  into  the  pad  as  he  searches  for  the  thought  so  tightly  held  moments  ago.  Tempers  flare,  a  glove  fist  raised  to  slam  against  the  desk  with  a  loud  bang.  "  Damn  it  !  "

What  was  he  supposed  to  write  down  ?  Why  couldn't  he  hold  onto  that  single  thought  ?

In  defeat,  he  sinks  into  the  office  chair,  pen  tossed  back  to  the  desk  as  he  slumps  down.  A  lackluster  gaze  shifts  over  towards  the  embalmer.  "  You  needed  me  for  something  ?  You  got  my  full  attention  now.  "

" Consider it an experiment ! Thought he might go for someone who's quick with the machines over someone who's better at keeping them busy. " Even if it was their final strike... it would seem the baiting seemed to work. Strapped to a chair with the Ripper wanders off to find more prey, he's soon freed by the valiant knight making all the way over. Though, it was not without the penalty that the next time he finds himself down would certainly be his last for the game.

Lopsided grin shows the lack of real remorse for his actions. It's not often he appears so selfless, but sometimes a test needs to be made for a good hypothesis.

" You saved me in the end. Now let's finish our work before he comes back. "
