Summary: Edward has a nightmare and Drew is trying to comfort him 

Disclaimer: I’m pretty sure this is OOC for both and I feel like Edward would have the nightmare, so umm yeah .-.

Drew barely cracked open an eye when he heard shuffling in the area next to him. He knew Edward moves around in his sleep from time to time, so he didn’t really mind it that much. He nuzzled into the blankets and closed his eye once again.

What DID make him worry was the erratic breathing coming from the taller. Drew opened both eyes and sat up. His eyes widened when he heard small whimpers coming from his boyfriend. 

Drew gently shook Edward’s arm, trying to wake him up. When it failed, he shook harder. 

Edward jolted awake, strings brought out in an offensive position. He scanned the area, his breathing uneven. Drew couldn’t see his face, but he sensed the other was crying, or close to. 

Drew wrapped his arms around Edward, making him freeze. He relaxed when he felt the smaller bury his face in his shoulder, putting his strings away. Tears rolled freely now, he didn’t even bother to hide the occasional sniffles. 

Damn, Drew made him really soft when they’re alone. 

“Hey... It’s okay Ed...” Drew whispered. “It’s just a dream... It wasn’t real...” He glanced up at Edward, concern in his eyes. The other couldn’t help but stare back. 

Edward wrapped an arm around the smaller, bringing him close. His body stopped shaking and his breathing returned to normal, but fear was evident in his eyes. 

“Don’t leave me...” Drew heard him whisper. He nodded and smiled, although it wasn’t seen in the darkness of the night.

“I won’t... I promise...” Drew assures. He remembered how late it was. “Hey, let’s go back to sleep, okay?” He mumbled, yawning. 

Edward chuckled, holding Drew closer to him. They both laid down, Drew falling asleep almost instantly. Edward couldn’t help but smile at the other’s cuteness. 

“Thank you...”
