Update on USCIS Processing Time for I-526, I-829 and I-924 Petitions

On July 17, 2014, USCIS released updated processing times for EB-5 related petitions. The following chart provides the average processing times for cases being adjudicated by the Immigrant Investor Program Office (IPO), as May 31, 2014:

The USCIS published current processing times for EB5 applications.  Currently, this is how long it is taking for the following petitions:

13.2 months to process I-526 petitions

7.9 months for I-829 petitions

5.4 months for I-924- applications for regional center status.

EB5 Program Update from USCIS

The USCIS held a stakeholder meeting today discussing updates on the EB5 program and current state of affairs.  The EB5 program Director Nicholas Colucci spoke extensively about the new office, staff and visions. USCIS has released recently EB-5 statistics through the third quarter of FY2012. Please read the linked document for all the details. A couple points of interest:

Approval rates for I-526 and I-829 have remained fairly high in FY2012 though slightly below the 2011 average (79% approval percentage for I-526 compared to 81% last year, and 94% for I-924 compared to 96% last year)

USCIS received (and processed) 38% more I-526 in Q1-3 2012 than it did in the first three quarters of FY2011

Currently there are 209 approved Regional Centers, up from 174 in FY11, 114 in FY10, 72 in FY09, 25 in FY08, and 11 in FY07.
