I created this verse for my FF characters where their weapons turn into spirit animals. For Masamune, she'll take the form of a white snow leopard when she isn't being used as a sword for Sephiroth. Now when I look at snow leopards I naturally think of Masamune & writing her as Sephiroth's spirit friend is so sticken cute. ><

Origins: City of Irauygate in the dragon kingdom of Minervino

Strengths: bookworm/Quick learner (it’s a combination) | friendly | empathetic 

Weaknesses: know it all | lazy | easily distracted

Backstory: 

He is the mix of a very random encounter one summer day. At least that is what his father has told him. He has never met his mother, as she has been forced to a secluded life in a hidden faerie realm, but they still send him letters and packages for every occasion they can. Although having him has made her an outcast, she keeps saying that she wouldn’t have it any other way. Luckily his dad happily took care of him when he was delivered on his door, and he had a fairly calm upbringing in the city of Irauygate. 

Much like it sounds, it's a gate city that holds the kingdom of Minervino behind it. It is the only entrance to the old dragon kingdom, and the city is where anyone traveling there has to pass. The lands themselves are lush forests, crowned by towering mountains, making them ideal for what they protect. Smaller villages dotted within natural openings and the main city of Aerilon. 

His father is one of the elder dragons on the council, the council that decides who gets to pass and enter their kingdom. The kingdom itself is guarded by a shield so that the only ones let in are the people that come through their city. All to protect one of the biggest dragon treasures in the realms. Growing up there, they learned a few things. Don’t trust people's words, trust their actions, and of course, you could learn a lot from people, if you were just friendly enough. They learned as still very young that they had an affinity for Alchemy. He very quickly surpassed his  teachers, ending with their father sending him to bigger cities so he could learn more. In the years, he has become known as the person to see if you need a special potion for pretty much anything. 

One of the things they have from their mom, is a way with plants, which comes super handy for alchemy, as all the plants he uses are homegrown. He only has to find them once, then he is fully able to grow them himself in his garden. It also helps that some of the springs close to where he lives are known to be among the clearest there is, very handy when you're using it to make potions. 

Like most dragonkin, he does like to read and gain knowledge. His father is a scholar, and when he was younger, he was sure that he would follow in his footsteps. When faith took him in another direction, he has still kept up his reading and has general knowledge about many things. Sadly, he is fairly easily distracted, so if something in a book catches his attention, he will put one book aside, to find another about this new thing, and forget about what he was originally reading about. 

This goes with everything else as well, so it is why he had a garden of his own as it keeps him from being distracted, all too much. It's also how he has found many of his rarer plants, randomly discovering them from going places he probably shouldn’t go. This has on some occasions also put his life in danger, but he had made those into fancy tales, and some scars to show off. He is also fairly lazy, so the instant he found out he could send others to find his plants for him, he did that most of the time. The exceptions being whenever it was something that was special and rare enough, then he still goes out on his own to this day

Although he has many people he knows, and he knows several of them consider him their friend, there is really only one person he would give that title to. The rest are acquaintances or customers to him. But he has understood that the way he treats people, makes them think of him as their friend, but after being burned on that a couple of times where people used the “But I’m your friend” tactic, he has made sure to let people know in clear text that they are not. 

The only one he actually calls his friend is Laerta. Their meeting was random as he heard rumors about a dragon that was in town, healing people. It took him a while to earn Laerta’s trust, but in the end, he succeeded. He is always happy when his friend comes by, and he still works diligently on finding a potion that can help with his necromantic side. A way to perhaps help him not have to hurt someone or something after healing someone else. He also makes sure, whenever his friend arrives, there is a flower waiting for him. 

One of his hidden traits is singing, this comes more from his mother’s side than his father’s side and can often be found singing to plants. He can sing to anyone, but it comes more natural for him to sing to the plants, especially when he wants them to grow, just a little faster. His singing is one of his dad’s favorite things, Indryr pretty sure it is because it reminds him slightly of his mom, although he has never asked. 

They had heard about the Selenehelion both from his dad and read about it. He had decided that this time he was going to give it a try. He knew his friend was thinking of doing the same, so if he was lucky, he would get to meet him there as well. Of course, he didn’t expect it to be easy, but he knew exactly what he would wish for.
