I wish to amend my previous commentary; It's as if John Winchester and Kris Jenner had a baby, sent that baby back to the 1860's, allow it to become a crazy shrink with obsessive compulsive tendencies, then move it to a house full of ghosts, this is what you get. Now, I LOVE watching trainwreck unfold - from afar - and this series is a ~bizarre~ combination of all of that: the Victorian obsession with death, ghosts, and the supernatural, with just a dash of Keeping Up with the Kardashian drama, a hint of soap opera plot twists, a pinch of Back to the Future-esque intervensions, and a shocking OJ Simpson-style cliffhanger. It's a giant hot mess from start to finish and I fucking love it.
