PEOPLE ASK WHY I WRITE OF THE LEGENDS OF OLD 

I Anonymous Write the legends of old as they are known and the history as it was recorded.

My Book Guzil will be out soon. It is the legend of King Arthur, George the dragon Slayers, And of those who’s true deeds are forgotten by History but remembered by the Legends.

A Time not unlike our own. An age of vain and greedy tyrants, and courageous heroes.

Such little we of the age that followed the fall of Rome. For what records there were have been lost to the decay of time or the fires of war. The deeds of the heroes of this age are lost, and all that remains are chronicles written to flatter the egos of the mighty. However, there are truths that neither fire nor sword can destroy.

What we know is that in a time of hate and darkness, there were those who stood against the tyrants of their time. That they fought with valor for no glory, no gold, and no renown. We know that at times, these heroes were victorious. Driving the armies of greed and destruction back into the darkness. Yet we know as well that there were also times when the forces of evil ground the armies of justice to dust. Those defeats leaving shattered shields, broken heroes, and pillaged country in their wake. However, those who survived the chaos kept the stories of the brave few alive. And their names have echoed through the ages.

This is why you have all heard of George the Dragon Slayer, King Arthur, and the Knights of the Round Table. Their stories have been refreshed and renewed constantly over the centuries, while the tyrants like Emperor Justinian, Vortigern and the Vandal King Gaiseric are forgotten by all but the footnotes of history.

It is the sacred charge of the storyteller to keep the legends alive. For those times where the mighty seek to smudge the heroes out of history. When the chronicler or the journalist records more lies than truth, it falls to the jester and the poet to remind people of the honor of courageous knights, the cruelty of tyrants, and the existence of monsters.

I write to preserve the legends of yesterday, in hopes that others to come will record the legends of today. For tyrants are feared, then reviled, and soon forgotten. Yet for as long as men and women tell stories, legends will never die.
