Hypnotic Influence: Why Truth Is A Habit

Igor Ledochowski discussed an interesting fact on hypnotic influence in this video

He said, inside the human brain, there is a ‘Yes Room’ and a ‘No Room’ which creates certain habits.

When a person is forced to enter a place that is continually saying no, then they enter their mental ‘No Room’. When someone is in their No Room, and constantly rejecting ideas, they will continue to reject more ideas.

Similarly, if a person is in their ‘Yes Room’, they will form a mental habit to say yes every time, and then they will continue to say yes to the hypnotic suggestions given to them.

Here’s where it is very important to understand: If your subject is in the yes room, it will make things true and being in the no room make things false. That means that truth is a habit.

Sometimes the answer to a problem can’t be found through conscious thought; it needs to come from a deeper place, somewhere that’s free from analysis and doubt.

How Hypnotic Influence Can Backfire: Don’t Use “The Stick”

Igor discusses how some trainers purposely choose someone to pick on or victimize so they can kick them out.

So that everyone else is so shocked into never agreeing or disagreeing with them.

That’s an awful way of going about things.

It’s a sign of a weak trainer. Someone who has no confidence in their material.

There’s no need for it; for making people feel so negative.

If you have that attitude, there’s no reason you should be on the stage.

Because you become a bit of a dictator — telling people what they should be instead of what they could be.

Instead, it’s always more powerful to inspire others.

Plus – “using the stick” in this way WILL backfire on you.

Because people don’t like to feel shame, embarrassment or fear in relation to anything.

Including you, your message, or what you might be trying to sell through your message!

Bottom line: When the stick is no longer present, the motivation goes away.

Ever had the experience where the solution to someone else’s problem seems completely obvious to you?

As Igor explains in this video, even if it is clear to you, to the other person it usually isn’t. So, if you can pinpoint how someone’s view is misaligned and deliver it back to them in a mind bending way… you will create a mind bending idea for them!

And that’s what makes mind bending language so powerful — it gives you a way to express mind bending ideas. It allows you to talk about things that otherwise you might not be equipped to talk about. And that’s why mind bending language gives you the tools to shift and reconfigure someone’s problems.

In fact, mind bending questions are designed in such a way that makes it even more likely that you’ll uncover a mind bending idea!

What does the word manipulation really mean?

Turns out, it comes from Latin and translates as ‘to use your hand to make something happen on purpose’.

And in this mind-opening video, Igor explains how in today’s culture the word has taken on a more negative meaning and has become associated with making things happen for your benefit, and to someone else’s detriment.

The truth however, is that everyone influences or manipulates at some point in their life…without even realizing it!

Because whenever you have an interaction with another person, you manipulate them.

For example…

When you ask someone for a glass of water.

When you try to help someone achieve a goal.

These are forms of non-negative manipulation.

So, when you look at it this way, when someone uses the world ‘manipulative’ what they’re really trying to say is that someone is being unethical.
