1: Do you describe yourself as on the asexual spectrum? Why/why not?

yes, because as far as i know i’ve never felt sexual attraction. 

2: Does your romantic orientation and sexual orientation align?

i mean, i’m not 100% aromantic. i’m definitely aro-spec though, considering i’ve only felt romantic attraction to one (maybe two??) people Ever

3: Do you notice flirting? Do you flirt (knowingly or unknowingly) with others?

i’m completely unaware of it. sometimes after the fact i’ll think “wait fuck were they flirting with me?” and then decide i’m overreacting. also a lot of times people will mention it later and i’ll be like “what.”

4: Have you ever been outed against your will?

not that i know of

5: What do you think about words like “hot” or “sexy”, etc.? Do you feel that you understand or experience them the same way or differently than others?

i feel like there’s a connotation to these words that i fundamentally don’t get. like the closest word i can think of that i’d use is “attractive” which isn’t quite the same.

6: Would you describe yourself as neutral, aversive or positive towards sex? What does that mean to you?

aversive. i am ooked out by the idea of it, although i’ve been getting closer/more physical with my boyfriend and am hypersexual, so it’s really a mess

i don’t think so

i don’t lie about it, but i don’t bring it up unprompted. i think i’m just really nervous about how people are going to react? and i don’t want them making assumptions.

i mean i’m hypersexual. so like yeah.

10: Have you ever pretended not to be asexual or otherwise hidden your asexuality, in order to fit in?

oh definitely. especially with the discourse on here there have been a lot of times when i’ve left it out or whatever because i’m scared of how people will react

11: Have you ever felt like you had to test or prove your asexuality in some way?

when i started dating my boyfriend, a little. mostly to myself, just like to convince myself i wasn’t making this up.

12: Are there words you feel a disconnection from due to some aspect of asexuality or how you experience it?

i don’t like talking about sexual stuff. it’s not a subject i know how to handle and i get all tongue tied and uncomfortable.

13: Are there words you feel a connection with due to some aspect of asexuality or how you experience it?

okay well i love the words “pretty” and “cute” because they feel the least tied up in sex/romance of all the words of that nature.

14: What sort of attractions do you usually feel, if any?

aesthetic attraction definitely. and romantic at least once.

15: Are there concepts about your asexuality that you feel are missing words to describe them?

i feel like it’s hard to describe how foreign the idea of sexual attraction is. like i’ve had people explain it to me, but it’s like gender: i just don’t get it at all.
