Day 5 - Arriving in Carlisle we reflect on the missed opportunities to celebrate the 1900 years of black and multicultural histories of Hadrian’s Wall. Where is the outreach to include diverse communities in the celebrations? Day 6 - We hiked Hadrian’s Wall from Wallsend to Bowness on Solway over the last 6 days to celebrate the black and multicultural history along the wall. It’s important to celebrate and recognise we have been and are part of British life for 1900 years. What’s telling is there is little or no mention on the information boards about the role of the Africans in Roman Britain. Day 4 - Britain has always been ethnically diverse.
