Doing the neck was a bit tricky, the worm gear has to rotate 360 degrees for every tooth of the main gear, since that gear has 24 teeth that means the worm gear has to rotate 24 times for one full rotation of the main gear. I looked around and it seems the best way to do gear ratios in blender is to just stack match rotation bones so that’s what I did.

It is my own personal headcanon that most of these specimens were genetically engineered to secrete a powerful enzyme found originally in Skakdi, intended to chemically reconstitute withered vegetation. Across the Matoran Universe, these Rahi were often cultivated to rapidly regrow vegetation with their enzymes, with Matoran communities finding the species easier to care for than many larger Rahi species.
