A follow-up to the state of eagle huntresses now. It's still not very common, but women have been eagle hunting throughout, not only in Mongolia.

In Kazakstan, 67-year-old Bagdat Muktepkekyzy is a former eagle huntress and retired journalist. . . . Committed to keeping the tradition of eagle hunting alive, in 1998, she established the first eagle training school in Kazakhstan, Zhalayr Shora School of Eagles, and off the back of its success started the Kyran (Golden Eagle) Federation Public Fund in 2005 - an organisation that teaches falconry skills and organises national and international falconry competitions. She also successfully lobbied the government in Kazakhstan to include the art form as a national sport, writing the regulations needed.

bianca was twelve when we meet her, and she is quite literally raising nico on her own. she was adulting at age twelve. she had to manage their budgeting, feed nico, clothe nico, and overall take care of both of them. she was a child too, and I know so many people hate her for abandoning nico, but at that point I don't blame her for feeling like her only job was to take care of nico. bianca would always care for nico, but who would care for her?

and then she meets percy, who not only promises to take care of them, but seems to make nico happy. bianca could get nico all the mythomagic cards and statues, but it's nothing compared to camp half-blood, his dream come to life. she is promised they will be taken care of, that for the first time she can remember, they will not be abandoned.

and for the first time ever in her life, bianca gets to join a group of girls just like her and actually make friends. for the first time, she finds a group that promises that she will feel loved, that she will be taken care of.

So the role that the Capitol plays in Kura5's story is like this: in some twilight era (correct me if I'm wrong) western movies you get bits of story where the "taming of the west" is a problem that frontier people deal with. Sometimes they'll have a bureaucrat show up to represent this or the railroad is being built but the movie is still set out in the wild west.

In Kura5's story, since the main villains are still the Immortals, the Capitol is a background force analogous to that "taming of the west" element but also witch hunters since Kura5 needed a sol enemy.

The closest thing to a leader that you'll see in-game is the Crimson Huntress, sometimes referred to as "The Crimson". To the Capitol's witch hunters, Crimson is a rank that you obtain "when you have slain enough to stain your dress red". Right now there's only one, and she is considered the de facto leader of the other hunters due to her status as an elite.
