humankin tips!
pt: humankin tips! end pt
go people watching!
pick out some outfits that make you feel validated!
participate in lots of human activities! anything from just socializing, going to the movies, eating at a restaurant, sports or clubs, etc!
pick out a "boring human" name!
listen to music! go to art galleries! watch content! appreciate the marvels and art of humanity, and have fun making some of your own!
take time to enjoy the mundane things!
explore some fun public settings like parks, malls, general cities, or other places that interest you (safely)!
Do things like makeup, styling your hair, self care, or other practices done by humans that make you feel confident and validated!
I hope these help /gen. We have some nonhuman alters who totally get the experience of identifying with humanity. -🦈

The attempt of starting the discussion on discord fell on deaf ears, so I’d like to make a post of my own. Why exactly is the humankin tag so full of negativity? From one side, is very poorly read trolls or anti-kin, but on the other, it is otherkin and therians who are the ones denying humankin can exist. Although true in these circles, that having a past life as another human can be regarded as factkin (as well as being the only widely accepted form of kin, as curiosity of past lives is a natural human trait), these posts are extremely discouraging to those who would legitimately use this tag.
Although many tag-goers may be confused by now should they read this, I would like to bring up examples for my argument. Those who would benefit from the human tag would be, of course, non-human system members. It is extremely common especially with fictives that system members are not human, but there are plenty of headmates who fit the non-human title that may wish they could be or consider themselves to possibly once been, alternate timelines or otherwise, human. The concept of non-human system members makes the concept of humankin entirely legitimate.
Again to bring up examples, even very popular media has characters that, when viewed in this light, are obviously considered humankin by at least tumblr standards. Ariel from The Little Mermaid was one I have seen in this tag, and a lot of the tag also makes fun of Cronus Ampora, although he remains a legitimate example. Another example could be Pinocchio, who again wishes that he was human. More modernly, Mettaton from Undertale is another great example, going so far as to have a robot body built to better emulate his ideal self, the self he feels he was meant to be. Jumping off from fictives, many system members may simply be monsters, robots, etc. and be finding that operating a human body to feel foreign, but not unpleasant. These members may feel a sort of 'Finally!' response when fronting, as they resume to be non-human inside the headspace, should the system have one.
Of course this debate will be lost on the trolls in this tag, but to any kin or plural blogs who debate against the concept of humankin, please consider these characters in a more serious light, as there are likely many non-human system members who may fall under this identity, and for them humankin should be considered a legitimate identity. To anyone who has read this, thank you.
Another moodboard / aesthetic for my hooman life... These make me feel better and less lonely.
