I do not recall this patient or his healthy diet being the cause, come to think of it too much time has passed since I've watched House in action..plus I definitely missed much of the last season. This medical series is still my favourite bc it doesn't have an obvious or annoying shtick it leans on too heavily like Grey's Anatomy—if you've watched this series you know what I mean after the third or fourth season.
The most prominent condition linked to an "inability to process chlorophyll" is Refsum disease (RD), a rare, inherited disorder where the body cannot properly break down phytanic acid, a substance derived from the chlorophyll component phytol. This leads to phytanic acid accumulation, causing a range of neurological issues like retinitis pigmentosa, peripheral neuropathy, and cerebellar ataxia.
