Paul Newman, Tim Robbins and Jennifer Jason Leigh in The Hudsucker Proxy (1994). Jennifer was born in Hollywood to actor Vic Morrow, and has 102 acting credits, from a 1976 uncredited bit to a tv series now in production. Her other notable credits include episodes of Baretta and The Waltons, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Last Exit to Brooklyn, Miami Blues, Single White Female, Short Cuts, an uncredited bit in The Man Who Wasn’t There, an episode of Frazier, Road to Perdition, 16 episodes of Weeds. The Spectacular Now, The Hateful Eight, LBJ (as Ladybird Johnson), and six episodes of Twin Peaks. Her first honorable mention is The Big Picture.
Some of Paul Newman’s films from later in his career, none of which are among my best 1,001 movies, include Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969), The Sting (1973), The Towering Inferno (1974), Slap Shot (1977), Absence of Malice (1981), The Verdict (1982), The Color of Money (1986), Mr and Mrs Bridge (1990), The Hudsucker Proxy (1994) and Road to Perdition (2002, Paul’s last on screen performance).
