It’s golden hour!!! (Well somewhere it is anyway)

I saw this palette on Cult Beauty and it is the most beautiful golden palette I think I’ve ever seen and it was love at first sight! Everyone I would like to introduce you to the Huda Beauty Gold eyeshadow palette, £27.00. Recently I’ve been getting recommended more and more Huda Beauty products so I decided to treat myself!

This palette follows the typical Huda Beauty small palettes design where you get 9 shades. However in this palette as well as getting mattes and shimmers toy also get this gorgeous golden glitter that truly transforms any eye look. Now obviously this palette focuses on the gold shades however you also get a beautiful selection of nude toned shimmers so you really do anything from a nude soft look to a bold gown eye look which I love so much. I personally love palettes where you can do a whole range of looks and even in the lighter glitter shades you still get golden flickers of glitter in the pan so even if you did a nude pink look using this palette you still get hints of gold which is a cute touch to any eye look.

Huda Beauty eyeshadows really are something completely different to what I’ve tried before. They are so creamy, glittery and pigmented that you just follow in instant love with them. I’m kinda new to Huda Beauty products though I did do another order after loving this palette so much so check those out later and I’m already annoyed at myself for not doing it sooner. If you wanted to try the eyeshadows without breaking the bank I think the smaller palettes are a great starting point because there are so many colour combos out there already that you’ll find something to suit you. Plus the size of these palettes are great to throw in your bag to top up your makeup or in my case add even more glitter lol. There’s never too much glitter or at least that’s what I tell myself!

Oh hello there ! Long time no see ! I hope everyone is safe and healthy ! 

Now, let’s talk about expensive things you don’t need and with one of the latest thing I’ve heard : the Huda Beauty Diamond Lip Balms. 

Described as a “soothing glossy balm for the perfect natural sparkly pout” the lip balms retail for 25$, weight 2,8g/0.09 oz and are available in six shades.

From left to right Seductress, Femme Fatale, Negligee, Lace Panty, Censored and Dirty Thoughts. Some of them are exclusives to Huda Beauty’s website. 

The Huda Beauty website describes them as : “infused with the appearance of diamond dust and a mix of emollients including Mango Butter extract to help soften the skin and make the balm glide smoothly across the lips leaving them pillow-like and supple. The hydrating formula will soothe and keep your lips hydrated.” 

“infused with the appeareance of diamond dust” ???? What. Does. It. Mean. Some kind of micro glitter ? We will never know. The exterior of the bullet actually makes me shudder because it looks so gritty and there is no way in hell I’m putting this on my lips.

As of today (May 21st), the lip balms have 3.3 stars out of five on the Sephora US website and some claim that it looks like you ate glitter and that they smell like burnt plastic. Ouch. 

Now, I’m a sucker for lip stuff. I’ve considered Pat McGrath’s lip balms for a while but the thing is that I can pan a lip balm in two weeks because I love applying it and I reapply a LOT.  I’m not going to buy a 25$ lip balm, no matter how cute it is when a labello soft rosé pack of three costs 12.98$ on Amazon.
