The word “demon”
The word “demon” in this context should be emptied of much which later enters into it. When it begins to be used in the New Testament, there is no sense in which it means a fallen angel or is synonymous with “devil” or that a demon is a minion of Satan. In fact, Jesus states otherwise (Matt. 10:25). A “demon”, before the dominance of Christianity, is practically neutral (see, for instance, Plato and Apuleius). Even in the New Testament, where demons are enemies, they are treated by Jesus almost as pitiable (Matt. 8:28-34), certainly by his disciples as hucksterish (Acts 16:16-18). We may be closer to the connotation of the word daimon if we were to think of it as similar or synonymous with “sprite,” “fairy,” “boggart,” or "longaevi," etc. If this strikes you as a dangerously innocuous portrayal of something truly frightening, then you have not read a real fairy tale. I cannot think of anything more demonic than the Snow Queen or the Gentleman with the Thistledown Hair from Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell—both of whom exhibit the “demon heuristic” above and both of whom sound right at home in an ayahuasca trip.

Topa Topa Huckster Double IPA (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 4 of 4. Bright tropical fruit and white wine-like notes dominate in the nose, and this is a big fruity presence in the body, too. You can tell this is big and robust with a bigger malt presence and alcohol/bitterness towards the finish. A relatively non-standard DIPA profile, and quite enjoyable.
I like making I flipped version of subclasses so I made a shitty alchemist artificer. I was originally going to call it a snake oil salesman but after researching it I decided to change the name.
This 1931 Ford Model-A Huckster can be found at Mercier Orchards in Blue Ridge, Georgia. They inherited the car from Frank “Big Daddy” Johns, who restored the vehicle in 1990. The Johns family loved their annual apple run to the Georgia mountains.
The Huckster was also used in the filming of the popular movie “Fried Green Tomatoes”, one of my personal favorites.

Here they are, in copper and crimson
My last work for the wonderful, gorgeous @aniiisthetic - I sincerely hope that the time we spent together was as enjoyable for them as it was for me. Endless gratitude for the opportunity to get to know you, do something special, and get to learn something new~
The work was in many ways new for me - new perspectives, characters and shades, style and mood, so different from my own - but it was a rewarding, productive experience. Little by little I start to play with foreshortening and lighting - usually my work is devoid of special planning and depth in this sense, and I am grateful that I was pulled out of this state;зз
Thank you very much again - and I hope this is the start of something wonderful;***
I commissioned @aukanemin to draw my Harrowed Huckster, Nora, with her demon dad buddy, Cree, playing cards! I think this is probably one of my favorite commissions of all time.
I was waiting to post this bc I wanted to write something to go with it, but I have way too many projects going on as it is, so that will have to come at a future date.
