let's be real I knew what was coming since the last fanfic i read.. the plot had me listen to the HTTYD OST anyway, so this was obvious actually 🥹 plus I just love the idea..

Nope . Just don't like it. Apart from the animation of toothless and the light fury and the stark contrast to how toothless looked in the first movie and this one .

The plot choices just don't cut it for me , yeah I get the dragons gotta go the hidden world but man it could've been done so much more better without the horrible romantic subplot which honestly had a 10% emotional hold on me ... Like what???

You're using a generic rom-com trope for dragons to give the dragons motive and the story emotion??

You're telling hiccup who spent YeArS trying to uncover the secrets of dragonkind wouldn't in a heartbeat find the hidden world and kick ass to save toothless and keep dragons safe regardless?? We needed toothless and the light fury for what?

I mean wtf wasn't this whole franchise from the fuckin start about fRieNdShIP and bonding between humans and dragons being unbreakable???

bitch please like this entire fandom wasn't here for the soulmatism of hiccup and toothless ... and you decided to sideline that?? Like it's a fuckin sitcom ?? I'm sorry what about my fuckin heart?

You didn't need a romantic subplot between dragons .. nada nothing for the ALL THE PREV MOVIES and A SERIES which were absolutely magnificent and total hits .

But nooooo you gotta pull this crap outta nowhere.

I love httyd with all my heart. Truly my favourite animated movies ever. I have sobbed at every damn ending of the movies. I have watched all of them more timed than I'd like to admit .I will die fighting for it.

But this one ? Nah .

It was Audrey’s shift to patrol Berk. The master archer was in her dragon form, flying around the island to make sure no intruders were to enter, or to alarm the chief if there were any ships approaching.

Teira was working late tonight at the smithy. There were no longer any villagers roaming around-- all were inside in the comforts of their home. Since she was alone at the smithy, she didn’t bother with wearing her complete attire. She was only wearing her leather skirt and dark green shirt, topped with her apron. The fire from the hearth made the atmosphere hot, and her body sweated from working for hours.

She saw movement from the corner of her eye and was reluctant to look up. Hesitantly, she pried her eyes away from her leather work and turned her head. Her eyebrows shot up when she saw who it was.

The moon is high up and the village is quiet. Everyone in Berk is inside, getting ready to turn in for the night.

It was that time of the year when people would order new saddles for their dragons, in exchange of their old and worn out ones. Teira and Gobber have been buried in orders all week, and she decided that it would probably be best if she got a head start and work on a couple orders tonight.

Since there were no longer any villagers outside and Teira was alone at the smithy, she didn’t bother with wearing her complete attire. She was only wearing her leather skirt and dark green shirt, topped with her apron. The fire from the hearth made the atmosphere hot, and her body sweated from working for hours, but she still didn’t feel tired. Her expression was serious and her eyes were focused on the leather in front of her. Her surroundings disappeared. She was determined to finish at least seven saddle orders tonight. 

She saw movement from the corner of her eye and was reluctant to look up, but she forced herself to pry her eyes away from the leather work and turned her head to see where it came from. Her eyebrows shot up when she saw who it was.

Another hot day on Berk.

It usually snowed for most of the year, but when it gets hot, the island basically becomes a giant frying pan filled with sizzling vikings.

Teira has flying around Berk, trying to catch some air to breeze through her face. Unfortunately, she barely got anything but a blow from the dry weather.

Nothing interesting ever happens around Berk unless Hiccup and his friends were there. She would always look forward to their visits. When they weren’t around, the most exciting thing you could do all day around the village was watch the builder-vikings continue the construction of the dragon racing arena for the entire afternoon.
