#htf mod

LJ’s mod here! Based on previous posts LJ has made, really bright fancy wings are about 10-12%, while monochrome are about 8-9%. The majority of the population has single or dual-color wings, typically displaying blues, greens, reds, and yellows; purples and oranges are slightly more rare.

Wing shape varies on culture, along with how they function. Wing size is primarily dependent on the individual, as flight depends on size/weight. (More on wing-body ratio.) The vast majority (99.9%) of the population can fly; being wingless (.), featherless, or flightless (.) is tragic or pitiful, depending on why it happened (genetic vs accident). That being said, places are generally accessible without flight as children can’t fly until adolescence when they can get a flying licence for busy times.

Hi! LJ’s mod here. I can answer this one! 

Yes. Some people dye their wings. However, it’s considered really tacky, and the wings don’t take dye very well. Changing your wing color is even worse than being monochrome in the eyes of society. Additionally, it’s really hard to pull off for long periods of time; remember that wings molt, and sometimes not all at once, which ends up leaving the wings patchy– which is even worse.

Patton and Virgil found out when they met Logan while flying at night, and kept his secret.

Roman found out after telling off the press and Logan deciding to take that next step. Also, here’s Roman’s reaction.

Hello! LJ’s mod again. Patton’s wings aren’t asymmetrical. He’s extremely special because he has two multi-color gradients on each wing. He has a green-blue-purple gradient on the outside, and a yellow-red(-touch of purple) gradient on the inside.
