Two fantasy felines.
Top: The Shadowcat, native to Westeros, found in montane ecosystems from the Vale to north of the Wall. Their black and white striped pelts are prized for cold weather garments.
Bottom: The Hrakkar, or White Lion of the Dothraki Sea, Essos. Presumably a separate population or subspecies from the tawny lions found elsewhere in Essos and formerly (?) in Westeros, where lions may now be extinct.
Daenerys with big Egyptian wig and different dragons (AU). The dragons are named Hrakkar (white, silver & black one), Vermilion (red & gold one) and Dreamer (blue & pink one). Hrakkar is the big and feral one (mirrorring Drogon, ), and her (she's a she 😊 - or is she 😁 ?) color pattern does kind of also suggest Jon's direwolf Ghost. She is very protective of Dany (maybe too much). Vermilion's concept is "well, why not a RED dragon like the Targ sigil ?". He's a funny lovable little guy who can be a bit unruly (tongue's out 😝). Dreamer is very obviously inspired by Dreamfyre, the dragon of Rhaena & Helaena Targaryen. She's Dreamfyre come again, if you please. Tribute to Daenerys' own dreamer powers. She's sweet and rather obedient, and very much in love with her mom. A bit clingy too 🥰.
The Incident with the Dothraki
by Shella Longclaw
After the Century of Blood, the Dothraki conquest calmed down. Trade was being firmly established in Vaes Dothrak. A Yi Tish caravan of merchants from Trader Town came to the Dothraki city. “They arrived and behaved in the Dothraki fashion,” as one priest described and defended, since the incident resulted in much bloodshed.
To understand, let’s start at the beginning. There is a great distance between Trader Town and Vaes Dothrak. As the caravan rested midway in Dothraki land, they spotted a khal and his bloodriders killing a female hrakkar and retrieving her hide. The Yi Tish captain was staunch follower of the Lion of Night. The kotiya, or Yi Tish black lion is considered sacred. It is reasonable to conclude that he would view this white lion as sacred. When the Dothraki moved onto the hrakkar’s cubs with a deadly intent, the Yi Tish charged at them and slaughtered them all. The cubs were taken back to Yi Ti and given into the care of a female kotiya.
If the situation had ended there, the Dothraki might not have become enraged. However, the Yi Tish captain was livid. He traveled to Vaes Dothrak and hung the skins of the khal and his bloodriders on two large horse statues. He wisely retreated quickly afterwards. Many Dothraki craved revenge. It would take about two hundred years and several gifts to make amends. In addition, the dosh khaleen had to give their blessing. The governor of Trader Town wanted peace for trade between the powerful and rich Dothraki.
Though scholars believe the Dothraki desired the riches of Yi Ti trade as well and yielded their conquest for revenge to gain them, I can neither support nor discredit this assertion. There is now peace between Yi Ti and the Dothraki. Rumors spread that the Dothraki seek to conquer Yi Ti. It’s a thought which bothers most Yi Tish. Those who worship the Lion of Night welcome such a fight. For them, the incident should have reaped more blood.
Daenerys wearing her Hrakkar pelt Drogo gave her.

In the visions of Dany in HOTU, Dany witnessed white lion. Was it Hrakkar or its about Lannisters?
HRAKKAR, THE WHITE LION OF THE DOTHRAKI SEA
‘Hrakkar’ are a breed of white lion native to the Dothraki sea.
I’m not sure if the hrakkar is rare and magical and subject of legends like the the white hart, but it seems like its hunt and capture is important for the Dothraki:
“This day I will go to the grass and hunt, woman wife,” he announced as he shrugged into a painted vest and buckled on a wide belt with heavy medallions of silver, gold, and bronze.
“Yes, my sun-and-stars,” Dany said. Drogo would take his bloodriders and ride in search of hrakkar, the great white lion of the plains. If they returned triumphant, her lord husband’s joy would be fierce, and he might be willing to hear her out.
(…)
The brazier was cold again by the time Khal Drogo returned. Cohollo was leading a packhorse behind him, with the carcass of a great white lion slung across its back. Above, the stars were coming out. The khal laughed as he swung down off his stallion and showed her the scars on his leg where the hrakkar had raked him through his leggings. “I shall make you a cloak of its skin, moon of my life,” he swore.
—A Game of Thrones - Daenerys VI
Then, after Drogo’s death, Dany wears the pelt of the hrakkar as a way to remember her late husband:
Her hair had burned away in Drogo’s pyre, so her handmaids garbed her in the skin of the hrakkar Drogo had slain, the white lion of the Dothraki sea. Its fearsome head made a hood to cover her naked scalp, its pelt a cloak that flowed across her shoulders and down her back. The cream-colored dragon sunk sharp black claws into the lion’s mane and coiled its tail around her arm, while Ser Jorah took his accustomed place by her side.
—A Clash of Kings - Daenerys I
It was Drogo who had given her the pelt she wore, the head and hide of a hrakkar, the white lion of the Dothraki sea. It was too big for her and had a musty smell, but it made her feel as if her sun-and-stars was still near her
—A Dance with Dragons - Daenerys I
Also, during her visit to the House of the Undying, Daenerys has a series of visions, one of them was the hrakkar:
Faster and faster the visions came, one after the other (…) A white lion ran through grass taller than a man (…)
—A Clash of Kings - Daenerys IV
I have no more to say about the hrakkar, but it’s very interesting the parallels between Robert, Cersei and the white hart, with Drogo, Daenerys and the hrakkar:
King Robert Baratheon pursued to kill the white hart.
Khal Drogo killed the hrakkar.
King Robert Baratheon’s wife, Cersei Lannister, willingly plotted to kill him with the help of Lancel Lannister and the fortunate intervention of a monstrous boar.
Khal Drogo’s wife, Daenerys Targaryen, unwillingly participated in Drogo’s death by requesting Mirri Maz Duur to attend a wound in Drogo’s chest, and later, requesting that the maegi practice blood magic to save Drogo’s life. As a result, Khal Drogo got catatonic and Daenerys killed her husband smothering him with a pillow.
Cersei Lannister later framed Ned Stark as the traitor that plotted King Robert’s downfall and death. Ned Stark was beheaded for treason.
Daenerys Targaryen later blamed Mirri Maz Duur for Drogo’s downfall and death. Mirri Maz Duur was burned alive for treason.
As I said before, it’s very interesting that King Robert and Drogo (Cersei’s and Dany’s husbands) went to hunt these beasts: the white hart and the hrakkar, and later both men died, killed by their own wives. As if the gods really punish the ones that kill or pursue to kill the magical white beasts…

Daenerys Targaryen and her khalasar enter Vaes Tolorro, by Jonathan Burton, for The Folio Society’s illustrated collector’s edition of A Clash of Kings
Dany looked at the horizon with despair. They had lost a third of their number, and still the waste stretched before them, bleak and red and endless. The comet mocks my hopes, she thought, lifting her eyes to where it scored the sky. Have I crossed half the world and seen the birth of dragons only to die with them in this hard hot desert? She would not believe it. The next day, dawn broke as they were crossing a cracked and fissured plain of hard red earth. Dany was about to command them to make camp when her outriders came racing back at a gallop. “A city, Khaleesi,” they cried. “A city pale as the moon and lovely as a maid. An hour’s ride, no more.” “Show me,” she said. When the city appeared before her, its walls and towers shimmering white behind a veil of heat, it looked so beautiful that Dany was certain it must be a mirage. “Do you know what place this might be?” she asked Ser Jorah. The exile knight gave a weary shake of the head. “No, my queen. I have never traveled this far east.” The distant white walls promised rest and safety, a chance to heal and grow strong, and Dany wanted nothing so much as to rush toward them. Instead she turned to her bloodriders. “Blood of my blood, go ahead of us and learn the name of this city, and what manner of welcome we should expect.” “Ai, Khaleesi,” said Aggo. Her riders were not long in returning. Rakharo swung down from his saddle. From his medallion belt hung the great curving arakh that Dany had bestowed on him when she named him bloodrider. “This city is dead, Khaleesi. Nameless and godless we found it, the gates broken, only wind and flies moving through the streets.” Jhiqui shuddered. “When the gods are gone, the evil ghosts feast by night. Such places are best shunned. It is known.” “It is known,” Irri agreed. “Not to me.” Dany put her heels into her horse and showed them the way, trotting beneath the shattered arch of an ancient gate and down a silent street. Ser Jorah and her bloodriders followed, and then, more slowly, the rest of the Dothraki. –A Clash of Kings, Daenerys I
