M31 - The Andomeda Galaxy I have been attempting processes of this target since I began dabbling in astrophotography, 10 months on this data imparticular. Many people have given me tips and ideas, and they have all helped, but learning how to remove stars to process the target and the stars separately has finally given me a final product I am happy with. Images were stacked in DeepSkyStacker, initial color balance and stretch in Siril. Used Siril to help balance background. Processed in Photoshop. . The Andromeda Galaxy - m31 If you follow me you know that m31, along with the Orion Nebula is one of my great nemesis. I never can seem to get it "right," and to get it better you "need" to do some sort of HDR composite or such. Since I am trying to learn Pixinsight, I decided to throw myself a curveball and attempt adding in Ha from data taken with and L-eXtreme filter with the data I took last year. Unfortunately, the data taken with the L-eXtreme was botched due to a floating piece of dust that moved from frame to frame. Regardless, I gave it a go! Thanks to a tutorial by Visible Dark, I had a direction to take. It's not perfect, it needs more and better Ha data, and I probably need to retake my L-Pro data, but for a first go, I'll take it. . NGC 7822 - The Question Mark Nebula This nebula is found in the constellation Cepheus. This is another target inspired by @robert_leach90 that I was finally able to get started on. Because it's more North then East, this is currently a difficult target for me, and that doesn't include the clouds I had rolling in! Andromeda Galaxy - M31 It has been almost a year since I last tried this target, it was one of the first targets I ever attempted. I'm still not totally thrilled with the results here, I feel like I have issues on the edges, which led me to processing a little bit more then I wanted. Regardless, it's the best I have done so far! I took the data over two nights and tried different settings each night, getting just over 6 hours total. Elephant's Trunk Nebula - IC 1396 Back in Juy, I posted this data processed as a SHO image using a combination of the extracted Ha and Oiii channels to simulate an Sii. This data was captured with the Meade 80mm and instead of getting around to posting it, I went out and captured with the Radian Raptor 61.
