“Maybe you’re like a receiver. You know, like a radio receiver.”
“Signals?” “The snowball became an avalanche.”
*putting Mike and Will in front of a radio tower*
Queerbaiting final boss, seriously 💔
Then they put them ONNNNN the radio tower in the finale.
the "How obvious" scene is quite literally my biggest piece of byler proof. its literally RIGHT THERE setting us up to watch for these 'signals' as viewers, and letting us know that will is watching for them too. the only person he'd be watching for those signals in is mike-- and this is purposeful storytelling. there's no reason to put that in and have the resolution be miscommunication or rejection when that could've been resolved so much earlier (and frankly is just bad storytelling, because why include that scene then?). its the most obvious (pun not intended) scene possible. its literal textbook storytelling. every time i rewatch it, i feel reassured. because THAT is what convinces me, beyond everything else, that byler is intended, reciprocated, and canonical
some of yall need to stand tf up cause WILL BYERS doesn’t even have byler doubt rn
the concept of Mike letting El die just bc he couldn’t be honest about not loving her — the way Jonathan and Nancy were honest with each other which prevented them both from dying…
not wild at all, right, just saying, just giving food for thought ☕️
