My last shift at Shelter. I have had the most wonderful time volunteering @shelterhampstead over the last 2 years and 8 months. It's a great charity that helps people with housing issues/housing crisis, but it helped me, too. It helped me to come out of a sad and anxious phase in my life. I highly recommend volunteering as it ticks so many boxes: gets you out of the house, out of yourself, in a public space, with a great team, learning new skills, meeting people, gaining confidence and hope for the future. It was a tough call leaving after becoming so close to the team and the place. I am now embarking on a new venture with my own unit and my vintage and crafty wares just a stone's throw away in the Hampstead Antique and Craft Emporium.
