Housing has a new page that lists all of the available rooms left! So you can find out if the apartment on Bay State or the dorm in Myles that you always wanted it still available! They even have filters so you can narrow you search down!
I live in an on campus apartment and two of my roommates are going abroad next semester. I have two other friends that would like to take their rooms. How can I go about pulling them in?
Have them contact housing or look at the continuing student housing application. They will be contacted by housing with instructions about selecting housing I believe, if they haven’t already. But either way, they’ll use the continuing student application to give their top 4 choices for housing for the spring. There is a specific box where they can type in known vacancies and there’s also a comment box where they can type more information about the vacancy if they wanted.

When and how you choose housing depends on what type of student you are. Are you an incoming transfer or January admit? Are you currently applying to BU for fall admission? Are you a current student?
Transfers students fill out the New Student Housing Application and you can find more info here.
January admits will probably also fill out the New Student Housing Application, but Housing doesn’t mention this group specifically on their website. Contact them if you have further questions and check out the Important Dates page for Housing.
Fall freshmen applicants: After everyone who will be admitted is admitted in April, you will receive an email to create you BU account (your @bu.edu email address) and then you’ll be able to login to the New Student Housing Application when it is available here.
Continuing students: The housing selection process has changed a lot for this year’s upcoming selection process. Now, instead of going to an actual appointment, you fill out an application online. Info about the Continuing Student Housing Application can be found here. There will be an online forum for you to find potential roommates and read their profiles to see if you are compatible to live together. You can also search for a friend using their name or BU ID and request to be your roommate. Once they confirm, it will be noted that you would like to live together.

She doesn’t have a tumblr and actually just graduated, so probably isn’t available to discuss that, but it wasn’t like she was intentionally trying to live in Columbia housing with boyz. These guys were just her friends and living with them was just the natural thing to do for her. Don’t go into friendships with the prerogative of a certain kind of housing because everyone fucks everyone over during housing selection.
