Ingredients: 4 medium-sized apples, peeled and chopped. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 1 teaspoon cinnamon. 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg. 1 tablespoon lemon juice. 1 tablespoon cornstarch. 1/4 cup water. 8 oz cream cheese, softened. 1/2 cup powdered sugar. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/4 cup caramel sauce, plus extra for drizzling. 1/4 cup chopped pecans, optional.
Instructions: In a bowl, toss chopped apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, cornstarch, and water until well coated. Spread the apple mixture evenly in the bottom of a slow cooker. In another bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and caramel sauce until smooth. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the apples in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours or until apples are tender, stirring occasionally. Once cooked, stir the dip to combine the creamy layer with the apple mixture. Serve hot, drizzled with extra caramel sauce and topped with chopped pecans if desired. Enjoy with graham crackers, apple slices, or your favorite dippers!
