Hallo ihr Lieben,

Leider hänge ich mit meinem Blog über einen Monat zurück, doch irgendwie hab ich immer weniger Zeit und immer mehr vor, was ich noch machen mag, bevor es zurück nach Deutschland geht! Und das ist schon in weniger als zwei Monaten! Ich kann es kaum glauben!

Katherine hat ab nächster Woche Ferien und dann heißt es für mich noch zwei Wochen arbeiten und ab nach Kalifornien! Es ist einfach unglaublich wie schnell jetzt alles vorbei geht! In den letzten paar Wochen ist auch ganz viel los gewesen und ich fang jetzt einfach mal da an, wo die ganze Familie wieder zu Hause war:

Unter der Woche hieß es erstmal ab zum Friseur, wo bestimmt 10 cm meiner Haare dran glauben mussten, was für den Sommer auf jeden Fall angenehm ist! Am Freitag war ich dann mit ein paar anderen Au Pairs in einem neuen Diner, das hier aufgemacht hat und wir haben dort Lunch gegessen.

Am Samstagmorgen bin ich mit Annika in die Stadt gefahren und wir sind nach Brooklyn auf einen Flohmarkt gegangen. Zuerst waren wir auf einem, wo es nur Essen gab, aber dann haben wir auch noch einen richtigen Flohmarkt mit Kleidern, Büchern, Möbeln und Sammlerstücken gefunden.

Abends bin ich mit Karen und Katherine Essen gegangen, weil David in London war und wir haben einen Mädelsabend gemacht.

Am Sonntag sind Katherine, Karen und ich nochmal ins neue Diner und haben das Frühstück da ausprobiert, was echt gut war! Leider war es im Restaurant gefühlt so kalt wie am Nordpol, weil sie in den USA ja immer gleich die Klima anmachen, wenn es ein bisschen wärmer wird, aber nicht auf Raumtemperatur, sondern richtig kalt! Mittags hatte Katherine ein Rugbyspiel und es war mal ganz cool, das zu sehen, auch wenn es bestimmt die ganze erste Hälfte gebraucht hat, bis ich das Spiel überhaupt verstanden hab. 

Abends kamen Frieda und Annika noch vorbei und wir haben es uns bei mir im Zimmer gemütlich gemacht und gequatscht.

No one prepares you for how you're going to act. Like when this kid gives me attitude it takes every ounce of my being to not become the incredible hulk. Au pairing little kids is one thing, and to me in a sense it can be easier than taking care of an 11 year old who thinks they know everything about everything. 

When you have this child telling you "You've been in your room all day and if you don't put this movie on for me in the living room I'll tell mom that you do nothing for me"...

I just want to be like:

First off little cunt, You were at school until 4pm, you don't know shit about my day therefore how about you go do your homework and shut the fuck up.

Two, I do not have to spend every waking moment catering to your needs because you are in fact old enough to clean your own room and to put on a movie, and your mother would not appreciate me babying the shit out of your little ass.

And third, and most definitely not lastly but for the sake of my sanity, you need a lesson on respecting those who have to sacrifice not doing anything fun while all the other aupairs are out and having a wild night....like I gotta be home to make sure your Australian behind is fine.

Or how about when you're at the grocery store and this child is all like:

"It's not a Cantaloupe we call it rock melon, you're in my country so you have to say it our way. Everything is not your way"

First off, you see how you don't care what I call it? I don't GIVE A FUCK what you call it either carajita del diablo...like I may be American and all, but you don't see my ass telling everyone they have to say things my way...you've actually done that you spoiled little demon. Like spray some holy water on my latin ass because it's about to get rowdy up in this motherfucking town...ain't no kid, even if not my own, going to disrespect me. Child, I am not one of those people who will count to three and tell you to play nice...I am one of those people who will count to one and then your ass will be making dinner for yourself....Watch yo self? Kay, bye Felicia. 

For those who think aupairing is easy when you've got an older kid, it is not. You deal with more sass, more annoying combacks, and the hassle of not wanting to show her how I was raised because my spanish mother would have whooped her ass into 3015 with a cucharon y una chancleta pendeja.
