Book Review: Hostile Intent by Lynette Eason
Book Review: Hostile Intent by Lynette Eason
“Hostile Intent” is book four in and the conclusion to, Lynette Eason’s Danger Never Sleeps series. I loved book one, two and three so was looking forward to this one. Action-packed thriller is what I expected, what caught me off guard was the brutality of it. The writing is, as always with this author, well done. It’s fast paced and the characters are easy to empathize and connect…

In comments which legal experts and campaigners described as 'deeply troubling', army Lt Col Marion Carrington told the Marine Corp Times that children, as well as 'military-age males', had been identified as a potential threat because some were being used by the Taliban to assist in attacks against Afghan and coalition forces. 'It kind of opens our aperture,' said Carrington, whose unit, 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, was assisting the Afghan police. 'In addition to looking for military-age males, it’s looking for children with potential hostile intent.'

Just when you think the depravity of the United States military has bottomed out...
But at least Carrington is honest. Sociopathic, yes, but honest as he lays out the actual intent to murder children instead of offering the meek and dishonest "regrettable mistake" trope.
As a result, perhaps the 120 million Americans who voted for one of two "kill list" Presidents can come closer to identifying the meaning of their support. I doubt it, but I always hold out hope.
